SOME IMPORTANT TIPS TO CLEAR SBI PO PRELIMINARY EXAM

Many banking job aspirants have question in their mind, "What is the shortcut or tips / strategy to clear prelims exam?", specially the beginners who have just stepped into this arena. And the obvious answer of such question is "PRACTICE !! PRACTICE !! and PRACTICE!!!"

Everyone knows this very well that, more the speed of solving puzzles or quantitative aptitude questions, the more the chance to clear the prelims. All the questions are doable but the thing, which matters the most is "SPEED" i.e. doing 35 questions in 20 minutes, obviously with almost 100% accuracy.

There are few tips / strategy for different sections:

1. Reasoning: I would not recommend you to start with puzzles. This is because if you get jumbled in a puzzle then you could be trapped, you may spend much time in it and may miss the other easy miscellaneous questions.

So, first quickly opt out the miscellaneous questions like questions related to Ranking, Alphabets, Blood Relations, Coding Decoding, Inequalities, Syllogisms etc. Start with these questions and almost complete them with good speed and accuracy, so that you can have good time to spend on the (4) puzzles. Choose the puzzle, which you can do with much ease and speed. Quickly move to other puzzles.

2. Quantitative Aptitude: Start with the questions likes simplification, quadratic equations, missing number series and a few word problems. On doing this, you would have already  17-20 questions done and this saves a lot of time for the Data Interpretation Questions and some other word problems.

Move to the easier (not lengthier) DI questions in the priority of easy to tough. This strategy for Quantitative Aptitude really works.

3. English Language: Many are afraid of this section as far as accuracy is concerned. For this again, don't start with the comprehension/ passage. First do the grammar part, taking care of your accuracy. After doing the grammar portion, now you will have enough time to read the passage calmly and answer the questions.

All the above tips, are recommended suggestion, which may vary from candidates to candidates. If you have your own strategy, do follow your strategy and stick to it.

Good luck !!!!
